48 years ago today: The group Smile changed their name to Queen, and made their first appearance under the new name.
Nine Inch Nails frontman Trent Reznor is claiming Kanye West and The Weeknd "ripped off" the band's stage show. In a recent interview, Reznor said that he once watched both artists perform at Coachella and "blatantly" copy the use of video and lighting techniques he says his band pioneered. Meanwhile, Reznor says Nine Inch Nails has now gone back to simpler stage production after spending years in an "arms race" to create the most technologically advanced shows.
The Doors are set to release a 50th anniversary deluxe edition of their 1968 album "Waiting For The Sun." The anniversary edition of the band's third studio album will be available September 14th as a two-CD, One-LP package featuring 14 unreleased studio and live recordings. Meanwhile, a seven-inch single of "Hello, I Love You" will be released on August 3rd, 50 years to the day of the song reaching number one on the charts.
