A guitar used by the late Tom Petty is up for auction. Petty played the cherry 1965 Gibson SG during the Heartbreakers' stint on Bob Dylan's True Confessions Tour in 1987. The opening bid is 150-thousand dollars. The lot includes the custom brown felt hat that Petty wore on two videos with Traveling Wilburys.

A music festival is planned to celebrate late Led Zeppelin drummer John Bonham's 70th birthday. "John Bonham: A Celebration" will take place on September 22nd in his hometown of Redditch, Worcestershire, England, and is scheduled to include well-known stars and upcoming artists with a connection to Bonham and his family. Tickets are on sale now and strictly limited to just one-thousand. Proceeds will benefit the Teenage cancer Trust.
