We got to a lot of different news items this Pearl Harbor Day.

We got to a lot on this Pearl Harbor Day edition of "Gulf Coast Mornings with Kelly Bennett and Uncle Henry."  Some of the top MS stories:

Attorney General Jim Hood says the state is going after another group of opioid distributors.  He announced yesterday the filing of a lawsuit against Cardinal Health, McKesson Corporation and AmerisourceBergen Corporation.  The complaint alleges the companies breached their legal duties to, among other things, monitor and report suspicious orders of the highly-addictive pain medication.  Hood says those failures have resulted in a public health crisis.

We now know the name of the man whose body was found Tuesday along a roadway in Gulfport.  The Harrison County coroner identifies him as 29-year-old Cory Cowick, a resident of Gulfport, who had been reported missing.  His body was discovered along Creosote Road behind a Dollar General store.  Cowick's death has been ruled accidental, but remains under investigation.

Another case of chronic wasting disease in Mississippi.  State wildlife officials say another white-tail buck that was harvested late last month in north Mississippi has tested positive for the always fatal neurological illness.  The deer was taken down in Marshall County and is the fourth one in the state this year confirmed to have been suffering from CWD.  The others were harvested in Issaquena and Pontotoc counties.
