A former coast Mayor will be laid to rest this weekend.

Netflix is raising prices. The streaming service sent an email to its U.S. subscribers this week to remind them the price hike announced in January will start in the next billing cycle. Prices are going up between one to two dollars a month. That will make the cost between nine to 16 dollars per month, depending on level of service. Netflix says it has budgeted eight-billion dollars for new shows and movies.

Republican U.S. Senator Roger Wicker of Mississippi fired off a letter to the head of the FAA yesterday seeking information related to the recent crashes overseas of two Boeing 737 Max 8 jetliners. Wicker chairs the Senate Committee on Commerce, Science and Transportation and is following up on whistleblower allegations of insufficient training and improper certification of the FAA's Aviation Safety Inspectors. He says the committee is particularly concerned that a lack of training may have led to an improper evaluation of the plane's maneuvering system known as MCAS that may have played a role in both crashes.

Funeral services for former three-term Waveland mayor Tommy Longo are set for this weekend. He died unexpectedly last Saturday night at the age of 60. A cause of death has not been announced. His funeral will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. at St. Clare Catholic Church, preceded by visitation that begins at 10 a.m.

A judge in Brazil is ordering identical twin brothers to pay child support for a little girl who is the daughter of one of them. The men refuse to say which of them fathered the child and a DNA test was inconclusive because they're identical twins. The judge said the men are depriving the girl of the right to know who her father is. The judge ruled both men's names will be on the girl's birth certificate. The girl will receive twice as much as other children from the same economic background.

A huge replica of the Iron Throne from HBO's Game of Thrones is on display in the middle of Rockefeller Center in New York City. It's in honor of tonight's premiere of the eighth season of the hit series at Radio City Music Hall. HBO says the final season will premiere on April 14th.
