Green Day's Dookie turned 25 this year, and though the band reflected on its seminal album on its anniversary in February, Billie Joe Armstrong, Tré Cool and Mike Dirnt aren't done celebrating. As Billboard reports, the punk rockers plan to honor their 1994 record this weekend at the American Music Awards with a performance of their classic hit "Basket Case," as well as their new single "Father of All..."
Green Day join an already stacked list of performers that includes a special performance with Ozzy Osbourne, Post Malone, and Travis Scott, and Shania Twain playing a medley of her greatest hits. Christina Aguilera, A Great Big World, the Jonas Brothers, Camila Cabello, Billie Eilish, Selena Gomez, Lizzo, Dua Lipa, Kesha featuring Big Freedia, Thomas Rhett, and Artist of the Decade recipient Taylor Swift are all also set to perform.
The 2019 American Music Awards will air live from the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles on November 24 at 8 p.m. ET on ABC. Check out a full list of nominees here and Green Day's performance announcement below.
