Guess Who's Playing Saints Coach Sean Payton In A New "Bountygate" Movie?

Every year since their dynasty run, the New England Patriots are the villains. There was the "Tuck Rule" controversy, the Ravens complaints of a "sneaky formation" during the 2014 AFC Divisional Playoffs, and who could forget the "Gates," "Spygate" and "Deflategate?"

But in 2012 the NFL made the New Orleans Saints the bad guys. The Saints were accused of putting bounties on opposing players, and paying out bonuses to players who injured their opponents from 2009 to 2011. As a result, Saints head coach Sean Payton was suspended for the 2012 season, along with other members of the coaching staff and management. "Bountygate" was born. Sean ended up coaching his son's sixth grade youth football team during the suspension.

Now there's going to be a movie about it. NBC Sports, Peter King announced today that Adam Sandler’s production company, Happy Madison Productions, will film the Netflix movie, "Home Team," later this year. And playing the part of head coach Payton? Kevin James! Yes, Paul Blart, Mall Cop will be the lead. King said that Sean Payton was sent the script, made a couple of corrections, and gave it the green light.

The jokes have already started. The Saints arch enemy, the Atlanta Falcons already trolled Sean Payton on Twitter and the Saints returned fire. If they have Kevin James riding a Segway on the sidelines I'm all in!
