Mask Mandate Remains, Business Restrictions Eased

As the state's coronavirus case count passed 90,000 Monday, Governor Reeves extended a requirement that Mississippians wear masks when out in public. The executive order is now in effect through the end of September. But the governor is easing restrictions on businesses, allowing restaurants, retail stores and gyms to operate at 75 per cent of capacity-- up from 50 per cent. And those gyms can now stay open 24 hours.
